Fly guy

I was just digging around through some MP3’s on my hard drives and thumb drives to add stuff to the “live” and “in progress” areas here on the Backstage… and I found a few cool little items. Here’s one from 2001, way back before the band existed. I had a crappy keyboard and a crappy bass and an old recording program. I called this sketch “Fly Guy” because I pictured a guy walking along for the first 1:30 of the tune… walking along the street as a breeze started to pick up around 1:35… passing by shops, people sitting on stoops, a girl walking her dog… a mailman delivering a package… and suddenly the breeze becomes a gust… and off he goes as the wind catches his jacket. The people become ants, the trees become mini broccoli, the buildings become Legos. And he starts spinning.

Or whatever you picture as you listen to it:

fun with a piano and a bass
